UMBRA blocks are open to every prover. Each attempt runs a 1,024-step program over the Goldilocks field, Merkle-commits the trace and checks the commitment against the difficulty. When yours wins, your browser builds the proof (32 opened steps) and the node checks it before it accepts the block. The reward is paid straight to your own private address as a coinbase note only your wallet can spend.

The miner fetches work from GET /api/work?address=… and submits proofs to POST /api/work. The node re-checks every proof before it accepts a block. Point --node at your own node to mine against it.
